π How to Use Spanish Spelling Test
Spanish Spelling Test is designed to be simple and intuitive. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to get started, whether you are a student practicing spelling or a teacher creating tests for your class.
π For Students: Taking a Spelling Test
Step 1: Enter Your Words
Type or paste your spelling words into the text box. You can enter words in several ways:
- One word per line
- Words separated by commas
- Copy and paste from a document (numbers and bullets are automatically removed)
Step 2: Load Your Words
Click the Load Words button. You will see your words displayed as tags, confirming they have been loaded correctly. The app supports up to 50 words per test.
Step 3: Start the Test
Click Start Test to begin. For each word:
- Listen to the word being pronounced (click the speaker button to hear it again)
- Type the word in the answer box
- Press Enter or click Submit to check your answer
Using Spanish Accents
Spanish has special characters that are important for correct spelling. Use the accent buttons below the answer box:

π‘ Tip: Enable "Auto Accent Correction" in the settings to automatically correct common accent mistakes, or turn it off for strict grading.
Step 4: Review Your Results
After completing all words, you will see your results including:
- Your score and percentage
- Words you got correct
- Words to practice (with letter by letter comparison)
- Time taken and best streak
π©βπ« For Teachers: Creating Class Tests
Step 1: Load Your Word List
Enter your spelling words in the text box. You can paste directly from Word, Excel, or a PDF. The app automatically removes numbers and formatting.
Step 2: Open Teacher Mode
Click the Teacher Mode button to open the teacher panel.
Step 3: Configure Test Settings
Choose your test options:
- Require student name - Students must enter their name before starting
- Allow hints - Let students see the first letter as a hint
- Randomize order - Each student gets words in a different order
Step 4: Generate Links
Click Generate Test Links to create two links:
- Student Test Link - Share this with your students via email, Google Classroom, or as a QR code
- Results Dashboard Link - Bookmark this link to view all student submissions
Step 5: View Results
Open your Results Dashboard to see all student submissions in real time. You can:
- See each student's score and time
- View which words each student missed
- Print results for your records
- Refresh to see new submissions
π‘ Tip: Results are stored for 24 hours. Make sure to save or print any results you need to keep permanently.
π± Importing Word Lists
You can import spelling words from various file formats:
- PDF files - Upload a PDF and the app extracts the text
- Word documents (.docx) - Import directly from Microsoft Word
- Excel files (.xlsx) - Import from spreadsheets
- Images - Take a photo of a word list and the app reads it
Click the Import button and select your file. The app will extract words and load them automatically.

- Dark Mode - Toggle between light and dark themes
- Randomize - Shuffle word order for each test
- Auto Hint - Show hints automatically after a delay
- Auto Accent - Automatically correct accent marks
πΎ Saving Your Progress
Your test history is automatically saved on your device. Click the History button to see your past results. You can also save word lists for quick access later using the Save List button.
